Ballet exams with the Royal Academy of Dance were held in June 2014 when 50 pupils were entered, all were awarded either Merit or Distinction. Congratulations to all involved. |

In April 2014 Miss Adele Meads stepped down as Principal and handed over the reins to Miss Fiona Rees. Mrs Patsy Rees will continue as Deputy Principal. |

During the Easter break S4C came to our Studio to film Fflur Haf Jones and some of her class mates in their dance class for the programme Dwylo’r Enfys on Cyw. The programme will be broadcast on Monday 28th October at 8.25 am. |
Congratulations to Amber Davies and Jessica Rowlands who were both recalled to audition for a scholarship,Amber was awarded a full three year scholarship to Urdang Academy and Jessica was awarded a full three year scholarship to SLP College in Leeds.We wish them both well when they begin their training in September. |

Congratulations to 8 year old Fflur Haf Jones who has been chosen to take part in the programme Dwylo`r Enfys on Cyw for S4C. The Ceidiog Television Company visited our Studio on Good Friday to film Fflur and some members of her Modern and Tap class as follows: Ella Jones, Elain Hughes, Lisa Evans, Christabelle Williams, Elisabeth Vaughan and Amelia Lloyd. It was a wonderful experience for the children and we are incredibly proud of them, they danced beautifully and their behaviour was impeccable, Well done to them all. |
Ex pupil Jade Davies will be graduating from the Urdang Academy this term,and we are extremely proud to inform you that Jade has successfully auditioned to join the cast of Les Miserables in London`s West End. Ex pupil Mark Evans who has been a West End performer for many years now is currently in america on tour with the new musical The Book of Mormon. |
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the passing(at the start of the Easter Holidays)of our Ballet pianist Gwyneth Jones. Gwyneth had been our pianist for 15 years, and she was also one of the first pupils to join Adele Meads when it was founded over 50 years ago. Gwyneth will be greatly missed by us all. |

Our thoughts are with pupil Melissa Young who lost her Mum Lila during the Summer break, and also sister Amy and Dad Dave. As well as being a long standing parent of the school, Lila was also a long standing member of the adult Tap class and a dear friend. During the Christmas break Miss Fiona attended a four day course at the Royal Academy of Dance in London to learn both the new Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate Syllabi which will replace the previous syllabi from September 2011.
Miss Fiona is looking forward to introducing the new work to senior students in preparation for entry to vocational colleges. |

Amber Davies aged 14 has recently become a member of the Urdang Youth Academy in London and is thoroughly enjoying training there once a month.

A group of disco pupils showed their cheerleading skills outside Morrisons in Denbigh on Friday 18th March in support of Morrisons fundraising for Comic Relief.
